We are here to help make мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾ an accessible and welcoming place for all students. If you are anticipating or experiencing barriers to access, we can help.
We will work with you and your instructors to create an individual plan for accommodations and support.
Accessibility Specialists are available for appointments in-person or via Zoom. Please contact your Accessibility Specialist directly or contact our front desk to schedule an appointment.
A plan may include accommodations like:
- Extra time for exams
- Audio recording of lectures
- Text to speech software
- Adjustable work station
- Sign language interpretation
- Guide and Service Dog access
It may also include supports such as:
- Helping you apply for StudentAidBC disability funding
- Getting in touch with other services
- Building self-advocacy skills
- Planning courses and transitions
We work with students to remove barriers related to learning disabilities, ADHD, mental health issues, physical disabilities, sensory impairments, TBI, chronic illnesses, and more. We can help plan for temporary, long-term, or intermittent needs.
All students who are experiencing barriers to learning due to a disability or long-term illness should book a meeting to learn more about our services. You can also read about the approved process for supporting students with disabilities at мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾:
