Amelia Douglas Gallery

The Amelia Douglas Gallery is a non-profit organization run by members of the мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾ community. The mandate of the Art Exhibit Committee is to feature new and established BC artists and to enhance the educational offerings of the College. 

The gallery is named after Lady Amelia Douglas, the Cree wife of Sir James Douglas, known for her courage in the face of danger, and her skill and compassion as a nurse and midwife. Learn more about the life of Lady Amelia Douglas here.

In the spirit of °ìÊ·Æý³¦²õ³ÙÆý³æÊ·, the Amelia Douglas Gallery at мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾ invites you to join us in witnessing the achievements of 10 inspiring Indigenous artists who exemplify creativity, ingenuity, and excellence. In their own unique way, each of these artists honours their ancestral traditions while engaging contemporary art forms and media in new ways.
